June 30, 2021 – Judge denies Britney’s request to remove Jamie.
Judge Brenda Penny, in response to Britney’s request in November 2020, refused to remove Jamie from the agreement.
She didn’t say why but called her lawyer to file papers for her termination, which he didn’t.
Jul 1, 2021 – The Bessemer Trust resigns after taking charge of Jimmy
A day after the judge’s ruling, the Bessemer Trust, which had been served, resigned, saying they had never known Britney wanted to end the guardianship.
“We have heard her and we respect her wishes,” the company’s lawyers said in a court note.
July 5, 2021 – Longtime Britney Manager Posts
Larry Rudolph wrote a letter to Jimmy and Guardian to say he no longer needed him because Britney wanted to retire.
He said he had not spoken to her for two years but had been told by others that she wanted to step down.
July 6, 2021 – Britney’s lawyer retreats
Sam Ingham, the attorney appointed to represent Britney in 2008, is stepping down after failing to file papers to end the guardianship, despite her pleas.
July 14, 2021 – Britain wins the right to choose its own lawyer
A Los Angeles court granted Britney the right to choose a lawyer to help her end her guardianship, after she told the judge that the current situation was “allowing my father to ruin my life.” She chose former federal prosecutor Matthew Rosengart as her new attorney.

August 12, 2021 – Jamie Spears agrees to step down from her job as a bodyguard
Jimmy’s lawyers have submitted documents to the court that he will be stepping down, and provide an orderly transition to another guard.
He said he was doing this because he felt that the public disagreement with his daughter was not in her best interest.
September 7, 2021 – Jimmy Spears files to end conservative
Jimmy states that his daughter “is now entitled to serious consideration by this court as to whether such guardianship is no longer required”.
The request went on to say that Britney Spears’ circumstances had changed “to the point that the reasons for establishing a guardianship may no longer exist”.
September 29, 2021 – Jimmy has been stopped from saving
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny has ruled that Jamie be suspended as governor of Britney’s estate.
Accountant John Zabel has been named as the alternate temporary supervisor.
NOVEMBER 2, 2021 – Jimmy files for immediate termination of prefecture, canceling all financial claims
Jamie Spears submitted documents to the court declaring that he would immediately leave the arrangement, handed over all documents, and did not seek any financial benefit.
November 12, 2021 – Judge terminates Britney’s membership in the province
A Los Angeles judge has ordered the end of the conservation that had controlled Britney’s life — and $60 million fortune — for 13 years.
“The court found that the guardianship of the person and property of Britney Jean Spears was no longer required,” Judge Brenda Penny said at a hearing in Los Angeles, where Britney did not appear.
“Therefore, as of today, the guardianship is hereby terminated.”
