The Dodgers’ Third Season: The First 54 Games of 2022

Believe it or not, the 2022 season is a third complete, with the Dodgers’ 54th game of the season on Sunday.

After winning 106 last year, the Dodgers were on course to win just one game less this season, but believe it or not, they count as their third-best record after 54 games over the past four seasons.

The Dodgers are outperforming opponents by 113 points, and are slightly behind their fast pace in 2020. The only other Los Angeles Dodgers team before this year was the 1974 pennant winner, who scored 134 points more than they allowed during the first third of the season.

Now, let’s take a look at the single players, divided into groups.

This includes numbers for Will Smith and Austin Barnes as particular rackets as well. Behind the board, Smith started 35 games and Barnes 19.

Aside from the injuries Max Muncie and Edwin Rios have had in the past week and a half, this has been an incredibly healthy extension of the center players, and the most regular squad the Dodgers have had under the current system.

Beginnings are lower – off the field – DH

The Mookie Betts are tied for the top spot in the National League with 16 home runs, tied for ninth by Dodger through 54 group games. He leads the big companies with a score of 52 points; The only Dodgers to score in more than 54 games are Willie Keeler (1901), Babe Hermann (1930), and Johnny Frederick (1930).

Freddy Freeman’s doubles of 20 tied for fourth with the most dribbles in 54 games.

The Dodgers lead the top teams in runs scored per game. They rank second in the fewest runs allowed, so let’s look at the promotion.

I cheated quite a bit here, including my comfortable Tyler Anderson backs between the starters, because they were both four-strokes. But the rest walks for Mitch White and Michael Grove were typical shorter walks, so they are counted separately between sedatives.

For the Bullpen, I only calculated blown saves that would have been a reasonably effective save with a successful outing. So neither David Price (April 14) gave up his lead in the seventh inning nor Evan Phillips (May 13) who did the same in the sixth inning in the table above, and the fateful eighth round of Prosdar Gratterol was not included on Sunday. But even when those three games are counted, the Dodgers are third in the standings for the fewest saves (six).

The Dodgers’ sedatives were used a lot this year (189 laps) and then the last (183 laps), although this is largely a function of abbreviated spring training, leaving beginners unbuilt to start the season, and expanded rosters as well as a loosened pitcher boundary to start this season. . It’s hard to argue with the results, with the Bullpen’s 3.37 ERA and 3.35 FIP.

The next third of the season starts on Tuesday.
